For people who want to get a glimpse of Machu Picchu, they don’t actually need to travel across the world to land the great Incan City. They don’t need to cross seas and mountains to lay their eyes on the fine golden brick pattern of the sophisticated and unique pyramids of the city because Realtime Gaming’s new offering got everyone covered on this one. Spirit of Inca is a progressive video slot. It is a five-reel, 25-payline game that comes with a wild symbol, a scatter symbol, and free spins. Its betting range starts from $0.50 up to $5 while its coin bet range is from $0.02 up to $0.20. Maximum coin jackpot is 2000 and the maximum cash jackpot is $400. Spirit of Inca does not offer bonus games like all other RTG video slots.
The Symbols
Famous for its apocalyptic Mayan calendar, the Incan empire is one of the oldest yet most sophisticated civilizations. It even caused a big of a deal during the 2012 “end of the world” hype since many people believed that the Mayan’s prediction could be possibly a forewarning of doomsday. Fortunately, the prediction didn’t pull through so players of the Spirit of Inca can definitely enjoy incessant hours of gaming. For the symbols or icons on the reels, RTG decided to stick to what people can find or expect from the city. The symbols include: ancient ceramics, flowers, jewelry, beads, scrolls, treasures, jade lions, Priestess, Incan Spirit designs, and an image of Machu Picchu, among others.
The Display and Gaming Appearance
Spirit of Inca’s background display is a panoramic view of Machu Picchu in broad daylight. It is surprising however that the game does not follow the typical Realtime Gaming configuration in some of its parts. Atop the gaming window are five display items: (from left to right) Mini, Major, Grand, Maxi, and Minor. All of these items refer to the random jackpot prizes of the video slot. Beneath Grand is the golden label of the game. On both ends are the different pay lines of the game in a variety of colors. The reels appear relatively small, enough to cater to all the symbols. As usual, the gaming controls are placed at the bottom: Bet, Bet, Win, Spin, and AutoPlay.
The Gameplay Features
Like the Mayan civilization, Spirit of Inca has two major influences: the Incan Spirit and the Priestess. The Priestess is the scatter symbol that has the capacity to unlock winnings of 2, 10, and 100 coins whenever three, four, or five of the said icons appear on the reels in any position. On the other hand, the Incan Spirit is the substitute or wild symbol. It is an animated symbol that expands by replacing other icons in the game except for the scatters. The wild symbol can only appear on the first and fifth reels, but once it does, it can trigger 25 free spins, and a multiplier, which can range from 1x to 10x when applied to each free spin prize.
Additional Features and Betting Options
For players who are already familiar with RTG video slots, Spirit of Inca is a revolution for having five different jackpot prizes: Mini, Major, Grand, Maxi, and Minor. What’s good about this feature is that everything has a preset value that makes it easy for players to win any of the said prizes. Every round does not require much since the game’s coin bet range starts from $0.02 up to $0.20 while its betting range is from $0.50 up to $5. These bets are enough to trigger the Boiling Point feature, the one that unlocks the jackpot prizes of Spirit of Inca.
