Dance of the Masai is a unique slot machine when it comes to its theme, as I haven’t seen any other games out there to focus on a single African tribe, and then specifically on their dancing rituals. When it comes to the actual design, the slot is mostly about various African tribal items and it includes a couple of wild creatures from the savannah. The designer behind this beautiful game is called Microgaming. The slot has 25 lines on 5 reels, and there are top prizes of $50,000 which are offered to the luckiest players.

Betting & Jackpots

Your bets can be anywhere in a range of $0.01 to $250, so it’s a game that should be accessible to most players, no matter how big or small their budget is. The line bet is one of the things you work with, once you decided how many lines will be active. A line can accept bets of up to 10 coins, with individual values of up to $1. That will get you a line bet of $10 and a total bet of $250.

Since the game gives away a payout of 5,000x, you can expect 50,000 coins from it, or up to $50,000. The Giraffe will pay that much, when forming a combo of five symbols.

The two icons with extra roles are the Warrior and the Tree. The Warrior is the wild symbol, reserved for the 2nd and 4th reels, and being used as a substitute when it appears on them. The substitution occurs only when this results in a new win, otherwise the wild doesn’t do anything for you.

The Tree scatter is capable of giving you a big prize directly, up to 200x the bet being awarded when this icon is present in enough positions on the reels. What’s great about the scatter is that the exact location is not important, only the total number of times it appears.

When 3+ Trees are present on the reels, in scattered locations, expect for 10 free spins to be awarded to the player. The wild gets much more important at this point, applying a 2x multiplier when it contributes to a combo from the 2nd reel, and one of 4x when it is on the 4th reel. With both wilds taking part in the formation of a new combo, you get 8x the typical prize. Wilds also expand and cover the entire reel when they appear during the free spins, but they’re still limited to the reels 2 and 4.

There is a certain tribal look to this game, which I enjoyed. The graphics in the background show you a beautiful view of the savannah, and on the reels the mix of symbols includes poker cards, but it also has images of antelopes, giraffes, tribal huts, warriors or the lone African tree which is so often used to represent this continent.

The game has a design that I enjoyed, can offer about average prizes and it has features which can be a lot of fun. Multipliers of up to 8x are possible during free spins, which can mean much bigger prizes than you initially think that it can offer.
