Crazy 80s is a simple game, but one that manages to offer action that takes place on 5 reels, making it at least part of the modern world that way. The game’s theme comes from the world of the 80s, a time that many remember fondly, especially if it was in their youth. The slot’s graphics rely on images with the fashion of that time, on Nintendo consoles and others. The quality is not very good, being close to what you might expect from a slot which was launched back then. The 5 reels have 9 lines, and they will pay up to $25,000.
Betting & Jackpots
With a maximum of 9 paylines which can be used each round, Crazy 80s allows you to use 9 coins for each spin. You can go with fewer coins/lines as well though, if you want to. Each coin has values between $0.25 and $5, the maximum allowed in a bet being at $45.
The Girl icon is going to pay 5,000 coins to you, if you get five symbols with her on the same payline. The wild can be of help as well. The maximum value for that prize is at $25,000.
Some features do exist in Crazy 80s, but they look about as good as they would in a classic title, being quite basic and boring. A wild and a scatter symbol are used.
The wild is typically the more exciting feature in most slots, but here it will only be used as a way for the player to form more combinations, capable of only substituting for other symbols, nothing more. They don’t replace scatters, but that’s pretty normal for the way this feature is used in most games. Wilds don’t appear to be capable of forming combinations directly. Its image is that of a Boom Box.
The other symbol, the scatter, has an image with a girl’s pink shoes. As a scatter, the symbol does its job in whatever position it lands, and with 3, 4 or 5 of them in place, you can get paid 2x, 10x or 50x the triggering bet. This is the only role of the scatter, to offer a prize, so you don’t get bonus games or free spins from it.
The game looks a bit too simple, and to be honest I found it hard to be excited about the chance to play it. The 80s theme I’ve seen it done much better in other slot machines. Here, we have a few good themed icons, but there are just as many poker cards next to them.
Play Crazy 80s for the connection to the past, if you have it, but I wouldn’t do that because of its features, top prizes or looks.
