Boogie Monsters might be a monster themed slot machine, but the way the design was handled turns it into a cute game, one with loveable monsters on its reels, with Elvis impersonators, hippies and mummies on roller skates, among other things. The game’s graphics are good enough for this sort of game, though you wouldn’t confuse it with a slot released recently. The game offers 5 reels, has 40 paylines, so there are plenty of chances to win a prize, and the jackpot is valued at $25,000.
Betting & Jackpots
Given the relatively high number of lines, you will have to place some serious wagers in this slot, in order to get the most out of it. You have the 40 lines to activate if you want to, and for each one there is the option to select between 1 and 10 coins. Wagers of up to 400 coins may be used, and with denominations reaching $0.50, the maximum value for the bet is at $200 per spin.
The game will promise a jackpot of 5,000x, meaning 50,000 coins, or $25,000 cash. The free spins also promise a multiplier, so there is a potential for payouts of up to $125,000.
There are no wild symbols in this slot, but it makes up for it with its list of features. One of them is the bonus game, the other is the round of free spins. Both require scatters to be triggered, symbols which may appear in any position, as long as there are enough of them in place.
The scatter which will trigger the free spins looks like a devil’s claw, holding some sort of lava lamp. 3, 4 or 5 of these scatters, on adjacent reels, will trigger for you 13 free spins and a multiplier which is at 5x. At the same time, you will be given a payout of 2x, 10x or 100x the total bet, for the same number of scatters. The free spins may be retriggered along the way. While in free spins mode, Bat scatters will offer payouts as high as 200x the bet, if they appear up to five times anywhere.
That same bat, which pays 200x during free spins, will be used in the base game to pay up to 100x. That multiple is used against the total bet. The scatters have to appear 3, 4 or 5 times, and on adjacent reels.
Microgaming did a pretty good job creating the graphics for Boogie Monsters. The action takes place inside some sort of haunted house, while the yellow reels get all sorts of dark creatures on it, but most of them look like fun, characters that you could very well make a movie out of. While they do look like monsters, they don’t act like it.
Boogie Monsters looks like the kind of game that could be a lot of fun, and it has the number of paylines and features needed to make it so. It can even pay as much as $125,000, a very good prize and reason to try it out.
