Atlantis, like plenty of games before it, is themed around the treasures that can be found at the bottom of the ocean. The story in this case is about the civilization of Atlantis, supposedly swallowed by the ocean thousands of years ago. The game will show you the treasures, along with Greek style columns which are now covered by water. The reels have their share of classic symbols, but there are a couple which are themed as well. It’s a slot with 3 reels/1 line, the payouts reaching $8,000.
Betting & Jackpots
You only get two coins that you can use in Atlantis. You can use 1 coin, or you can use 2, either way you get only one line active. A coin’s value varies, the minimum being $0.25, while the maximum is $5. With two coins in the wager, the most it can be valued at is $10.
The rewards will depend on your luck and on the number of coins which were used that round. With one coin you can get up to 800 coins back, or $4,000, while with two coins you can get 1,600 coins, or $8,000.
The slot’s only feature is the wild, the same symbol which you rely on to get the big prize, when it forms a combination of three symbols on the only available payline. That symbol has the image of a Treasure Chest, and it can be very useful even if you only get it once or twice on the line.
In case you get one Treasure Chest wild on the line, you need two other symbols of the same type, in order to form a combo. The wild will substitute for the third symbol that is missing, and it will also apply its own 2x multiplier, doubling the usual value of that prize.
Should you have two wild symbols on the payline, a third symbol of any type needs to be there as well. Both wilds substitute for the two regular symbols that are missing, and they both multiply the win by 2x, for a total of 4x the usual value.
The background picture doesn’t look too bad, with schools of fish, gold coins and treasure chests placed alongside the remains of the ancient Atlantis. The symbols include three that are themed (treasure chest, seahorse and pearl clam) and three that are not (Bar icons).
It’s a game for someone that loves classic titles, but it’s not too bad. With its wild symbols, multipliers and the ocean theme, it actually looks better than the average 3 reel title.
