Casino Morongo Resort & Spa – Review
I have visited Casino Morongo Resort & Spa many times, every time I am more than happy with my stay. Sometimes my stay is only a few hours to a few days, It is conveniently located off of the I-10 Freeway in Cabazon, California near Palm Springs. Casino Morongo, Resort & Spa is a great place for family, or even a private getaway.
My favorite part of Casino Morongo was that they allow players as young as 18 to participate in all the fun! (except drinking, of course) I visited Casino Morongo for my 18th birthday & felt completely comfortable. There was a good mixture of people of all different ages. Be sure to have your ID ready to enter the poker room though, if you look young they’ll card you.
The casino is very well ventilated so it is perfect for those who are non-smokers. I am not a smoker therefore I always find it hard to sit in a casino full of smoke and concentrate on my games but, with Morongo, I was able to breathe relax & have a good time. They also have slot rooms that are strictly non-smoking rooms which I prefer, that room tends to usually be open with more slots to choose from. The poker room has nightly tournaments & cash games so there is always a game flowing. The poker room is also non-smoking. Another cool thing at Casino Morongo was the video Roulette. This was the first place I had seen it & thought it was pretty neat!
Holidays at Casino Morongo Resort & Spa tend to be the busiest days I’ve seen as well as the weekend. I’ve been there on both Thanksgiving & Christmas after dinner time. The only downfall was it was packed full of people! During the summer the resort offers all kinds of promotions like 79$ per night & a 50$ credit to use towards a day at the spa or a night at the restaurant!
The food court has a wide variety of vendors to choose from, Fatburger, Nathans, Panda Express, La Italian Kitchen & Haagen-Dazs. They also have fine dining with restaurants like; Potrero Canyon Buffet, Cielo, Serrano, Bamboo, Sunset Bar & Grill, & Mistique Lounge. Club Vibe is also a good time though, it is for those 21+
The parking lot is the best I’ve seen for a casino it’s got 2 different areas to park in, one being a well-lit multi-level structure with 1700 spaces with elevators that land you right into all the gaming fun & another flat lot with an additional 1500 spaces. Casino Morongo is located in one of the windiest valleys in the country so be careful of that hair when parking on the top level ladies!
The rooms are super nice! The beds are extremely comfy and the showers are perfect I couldn’t believe what we got for the price. The area around the casino is really open but there is a shopping mall called Desert Hills Premium Outlets, for those in your party who aren’t much of gamblers & love outdoor malls with great bargains this is the place for them they have 130+ stores including a Coach outlet!! Another fun thing for those traveling with you under the age of 18 there is Canyon Lanes Bowling which currently offer 24 lanes of bowling & awesome specials on Lunch n’ Bowl
Honestly, Casino Morongo Resort & Spa is the perfect vacation spot for anyone I highly recommend it. Not a bad way to spend $170 Million Dollars building a resort!
